NATURE’S WOOD LIMITED RESIDENTIAL FLOORING WARRANTY
This Limited Residential Flooring Warranty is provided to the original residential consumer purchaser of Nature’s Wood by Sicco Floor Design and begins when the floor is paid for in full as supported by an original invoice from an authorized Nature’s Wood dealer. The floor must be installed in accordance with the Nature’s Wood installation guidelines and maintained in accordance with the Nature’s Wood Care and Maintenance Guidelines.
LIMITED WARRANTIES
Claims for defective product made prior to installation will be replaced with like product by Sicco upon return of the uninstalled material in full cartons. If like product is not available, Sicco will reimburse the cost of material when the uninstalled material is returned or substitute alternate product of an equal or greater value. These limited warranties apply to you only if you: (1) are the original residential consumer purchaser; (2) have paid in full for your hardwood floor; and (3) have purchased the floor for your own personal residential use and not for resale. These warranties ARE NOT transferable or assignable and they DO NOT apply to non residential, rental or commercial installations.
LIMITED LIFETIME STRUCTURAL WARRANTY
Nature’s Wood warrants all first quality composite hardwood floors, in their manufactured condition, to be free from defects in material and workmanship including milling, assembly, dimension and grading. Sicco additionally warrants that Nature’s Wood will not delaminate when properly installed and maintained in accordance with the Nature’s Wood installation and maintenance guidelines. In the event that the wood top layer delaminates from the core Sicco will repair or replace, in its sole option, the affected plank or planks.
LIMITED LIFETIME FINISH WARRANTY FOR RESIDENTIAL WEAR
The finish applied makes installation fast and easy and provides years of wear in normal residential situations providing the Nature’s Wood Care and Maintenance Guidelines are strictly followed. Sicco warrants that under normal residential use its finish will not
peel off the hardwood floor or wear through during the warranty period. In the event the finish peels off or wears through Sicco will, at its sole option, either: (1) replace the affected boards; or (2) recoat the affected area. NOTE that this warranty applies only to areas that exceed more than 5% of the surface area of the installed floor. NOTE that gloss reduction, scratches and dents are not considered defects and are not covered by this warranty.
LIMITED WATERPROOF WARRANTY
Sicco warrants that for the stated warranty period from the original date of purchase that its Nature’s Wood will not swell, cup, or crack due to; normal cleaning practices including wet mopping, moisture due to everyday household spills, and moisture from the subfloor when exposed to those conditions.
All sources of subfloor moisture should be remedied prior to installation. This warranty covers topical moisture as long as the water does not flow over the cut edges of the floor. While moisture will not affect Nature’s Wood’s integrity, it is possible that with prolonged exposure to moisture in buildings, subfloors, or on building surfaces, mold and/or mildew growth can occur (particularly if the moisture issue remains undiscovered or unaddressed).
This warranty excludes damage resulting from mold and/or mildew growth due to prolonged exposure to moisture, and excludes all casualty events involving water coming in contact with your floor. This warranty excludes failures normally covered by Homeowners Insurance, including but not limited to, damages caused by flooding or standing water from leaky faucets, pipes, or household appliances. Also excluded are damages caused by flooding or standing water from hydrostatic pressure or other casualty events.
SPECIAL NOTE: WARRANTY LIMITATIONS (APPLIES TO ALL WARRANTIES THAT SICCO MAY BE OBLIGATED).
Nature’s Wood products are not warranted against squeaking, popping or crackling.
Nature’s Wood are intended for interior use only and must be maintained in a normal interior environment in which the area is occupied, protected from direct heat and sunlight and where heating and cooling systems are in place and used to control the internal temperatures and humidity.
Do not install Nature’s Wood in conditions where they may be exposed to extreme heat or cold. They may buckle and possible disengage from one another in these extreme conditions.
WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
Wood is a natural product containing natural variations in colour, tone, and graining. Sicco cannot warrant against natural variations in colour or any other variations, such as mineral streaks, small knots and grain variations from plank to plank. Nor can we warrant against natural variations or gloss levels between samples/models and installed flooring. Any sample or model shown or used by your seller is for demonstrative purposes only, and such sample DOES NOT create a warranty of any kind that the goods you purchased shall conform to. Any such warranties based on any such sample or models are specifically disclaimed.
1. Any damage to surrounding structure such as walls, subfloors, furniture, underlayment, moldings, trim, subfloor heating elements, or anything that is not the flooring product itself.
2. Damage from mold or mildew growth.
3. Flooring that is installed outside or in environments exposed to extreme variations in temperature.
4. This Lifetime Limited Waterproof Warranty excludes all casualty events involving water exposure normally covered by Homeowner’s Insurance.
5. Improper installation.
6. Improper care and maintenance.
7. Cabinets or other built-in appliances that are installed on top of a Nature’s Wood. Nature’s Wood should be installed after such items.
8. Seasonal surface checking is inherent in all wood products over time and is not covered.
9. Recoating or Finish Alteration will void the finish warranty.
10. Natural Sunlight will cause aging and colour change in all wood products including your Nature’s Wood.
New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act
The warranties listed in this document are in addition to any rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Nothing contained in these warranties exclude, restrict, modify or affect the application of and condition, guarantee, right or remedy provided by New Zealand Consumer Laws.
WARRANTY PROCESS
Product determined to have defects should be returned in full cartons to the Dealer prior to installation for a full refund. All product quality questions should be addressed before installation. Obvious product defects are accepted once the product has been installed.
Product problems that arise after installation should be addressed in writing to the Dealer from which the floor was purchased. Include a copy of the proof of purchase or invoice. Descriptions and photos of the problem are very helpful in achieving a timely resolution.
All decisions regarding your warranty and warranty solutions must come from Sicco. No other party is authorized to render a decision. You must give Sicco and its agents a reasonable opportunity to fix your floor in accordance with this warranty.
SICCO’s CURRATIVE ACTIONS/REMEDIES
THE ABOVE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EACH LIMITED WARRANTY ARE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES AVAILABLE FOR THESE WARRANTIES. IF YOU ARE FOUND
TO BE ENTITILED TO COVERAGE UNDER ANY WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, IN ADDITION TO THOSE SPECIFICALLY LISTED ABOVE, AND YOU CAN PROVE THAT SICCO BREACHED SUCH WARRANTY, THEN YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR ANY PROVEN BREACH IS EITHER (AT THE OPTION OF SICCO): (1) REPAIR THE DEFECTIVE PLANKS; (2) REPLACEMENT OF THE DEFECTIVE PLANKS. IF THE REMEDY THAT SICCO INITIALLY SELECTS IS FOUND TO FAIL IN ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE, THAN ANY FURTHER REMEDY TO WHICH YOU MAY BE ENTITLED IS SOLELY AND EXCLUSIVELY LIMITED TO ONE OF THE REMAINING REMEDIES (OF THE TWO OPTIONS, DESCRIBED ABOVE IN THE LIMITED WARRANTIES), WHICH SHALL BE CHOSEN BY SICCO.

NATURE’S WOOD 10 YEAR LIMITED LIGHT COMMERCIAL FLOORING WARRANTY
This warranty begins when the flooring is purchased. It applies only to the original end-use purchaser and is not transferable. The flooring must be installed according to product specific installation guidelines, and must be maintained in accordance with the recommended floor care and maintenance guidelines
WHAT THE WARRANTY COVERS
Limited 10 Year Structural Warranty
Nature’s Wood warrants all first quality composite hardwood floors, in their manufactured condition, to be free from defects in material and workmanship including milling, assembly, dimension and grading. Nature’s Wood additionally warrants that these composite hardwood floors, will not delaminate when properly installed and maintained according to Nature’s Wood’s installation and maintenance procedures.
Limited 10 Year Warranty for Commercial Finish Wear
With our UV-cured aluminum oxide finish, you gain the assurance of superior durability and wear ability. Nature’s Wood will warrant, under normal light commercial conditions and uses, that the finish will not wear through or peel off of the hardwood flooring during the length of the warranty of the product you purchase. Note that this limited warranty extends only for defects that cover at least 5% of the surface area of the installed flooring. Gloss reduction, fading, scratches and dents in the finish are not considered surface wear and are not covered under this warranty.
WARRANTY PROCESS
You (the original end use purchaser) should notify the authorized SICCO Dealer and/ or your sales representative and submit the following in writing:
1. A valid proof of purchase in the form of a sales receipt or other documents, which establish proof of purchase.
2. A detailed description of the problem and/or a photograph/sample that clearly shows the warranty problem.
Send to your SICCO Dealer. SICCO will designate a representative to inspect the floor in question and evaluate the warranty claim if your SICCO Dealer cannot resolve your problem.
WHAT SICCO WILL DO
Should a defect covered under this warranty be found, the affected area will be repaired to conform to the warranty. If repair is not commercially practical, SICCO may, at its sole option, replace the affected product or refund the proportional purchase price for the affected area. SICCO will pay the reasonable costs for freight and labour. Any costs incurred for the moving of equipment, furnishings, partitions and the like, that were installed over the Nature’s Wood product will be at the consumer’s expense.

This limited warranty does not extend to or cover failure or damage resulting from the following:
- The flooring that is installed outside or in non climate controlled environments, squeaking, popping or crackling, damage caused by heavy weights, high heels on shoes, or concentrated loads, scratches, stains, damage from abuse or negligence, damage from pet nails, damage from excessive dryness or heat, excessive cold, abrasive materials on shoes or under rolling loads, fire damage, fading due to excessive lighting or direct sunlight, insect damage, damage from recoating or alterations to the finish, damage caused by water or moisture in the subfloor or underneath the flooring, including but not limited to damage from subfloor hydrostatic pressure or other conditions that result in water or moisture being under the floor, mold, mildew, water damage resulting from improper installation, flooding caused by natural disaster, plumbing failures, etc., moisture damage by events beyond everyday spills, including, but not limited to standing water allowed remaining on floor, appliance leaks, leaking plumbing, or any source of continuous, repetitive or long term water exposure, areas exposed to excessive or continuous, repetitive or long term topical moisture. All wood based products are hygroscopic (they will react to moisture) and as a result will expand or contract accordingly. Nature’s Wood floors are not warranted against staple or nail pull out from the subfloor.
- Damage to the flooring such as dents, scratches, or dulling of the finish (loss of gloss) are NOT covered. In addition, the following are NOT covered under these limited warranties: use of hardwood cleaning machines, auto scrubbers; use of non-recommended maintenance and floor-care products including but not limited to oil soaps, liquid or paste wax products, or other commercial cleaners that contain acrylic; neglect or abuse including but not limited to taking proper precaution to protect furniture legs and feet with protective pads to reduce scratches and dents; not using dollies and protective plywood when moving heavy objects, furniture, or appliances.
NOTE: The warranty is not transferable. It extends only to the original end use purchaser. SICCO does not grant to any person or entity the authority to create for it any obligation or liability in connection with this product. SICCO shall not be liable to the consumer or any other person or entity for any incidental, special or consequential damages, arising out of breach of this limited warranty or any implied limited warranty (excluding merchantability).
LIMITED FLOORING WARRANTY:
30 YEAR LIMITED RESIDENTIAL WARRANTY
10 YEAR LIMITED COMMERCIAL WARRANTY
This warranty is subject to the procedures, recommendations, limitations, disclaimers and exclusions mentioned herein and in the general information, installation and warranty sections of this document.
AQUALOC products carry a limited residential and commercial warranty, when installed in a residential situation* (SEE NOTE AT BOTTOM OF WARRANTY), against manufacturer and workmanship defects when used under normal conditions and installed in accordance with Manufacturer’s installation instructions to the original purchaser owner of the home, as long as they continually own the home for the period of the warranty. Consult your original packaging for the warranty time specific to the product you have purchased, including your original receipt of purchase and extra board. This warranty is not transferrable. The manufacturer’s warranty and liability does not extend beyond the flooring planks or tiles and is limited to a maximum value of the original purchase price. Warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the planks or tiles at the sole option of the manufacturer. The warranty does not include labour and installation costs nor any secondary costs. Claim compensation (if approved and/or authorized) is limited to the specific area which is deemed to be valid under the claim.
This warranty does not cover and specifically excludes such damages as: indentations, scratches, dents, chips, pet damages and stains caused by normal wear and tear, sheen loss in high traffic areas, erosion from pebbles, stones, sand, all other abrasives, steam mopping, inadequate protection, insects, rot, mould, mildew, bacteria, lack of maintenance, weather conditions, fire, water, high moisture, excessive cold, natural disasters, excessive heat, heating and air conditioning systems, accident, improper installation or handling, cleaning agents, negligence or other causes not attributed to manufacturing or workmanship defects. Failure to adhere to and follow all the instructions for installation and maintenance and incorrect or insufficient maintenance. Any modification to the product other than as outlined in the manufacturer’s installation instructions will render the warranty null and void.
This warranty excludes noises of all types (creaks, squeaks etc.) emanating from the floor and/or subfloor.
This warranty excludes floors which have been installed in areas without adequate temperature control and/or when temperature has not been continuously maintained within required temperature level throughout the entire year as required herein.
This warranty excludes changes to gloss levels.
This warranty excludes claims due to differences in the color and texture from display models and literature, as well as differences in color and texture from board to board.
The warranty excludes claims due to lightening or darkening of the product from exposure to light, or to areas which have not darkened due to less exposure to light than surrounding areas.
This warranty explicitly excludes products sold “as is”. The original purchaser is responsible for correct installation, maintenance and cleaning of the flooring in accordance with the included instructions.
This warranty specifically excludes damages to floors caused by heating systems: heating ducts, heat sources and heating system components of all types.
This warranty specifically excludes color variances from one production run to another. Prior to installation, verify the colors are an acceptable match. Color racking and working from a number of boxes ensures even distribution.
In the case of claims for commercial installations, please note the following should your floor carry a limited commercial warranty. If applicable, the limited commercial warranty is only applicable to “light commercial” use and applications, which are defined as follows: low traffic areas in commercial offices, showrooms and retail spaces. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the New Zealand Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

*NOTE: Rental units, leased properties and apartments are considered commercial properties under this warranty. The limited residential warranty does not apply to these types of properties and installations. If your product purchase also carries a limited commercial warranty, it is the limited commercial warranty that applies to rental units, leased properties and apartments per the condition, exclusions and terms specified herein.
Note that manufacturer/distributor/retailer reserves the right to visit or have its agent visit the premise where the product claim originates to inspect the product in dispute and to remove samples for verification and technical analysis. Failure to provide reasonable access to the installation area or to provide requested information and/or documentation may result in denial of the claim.
All warranty claims must be made in writing through the original reseller and must include a complete copy of the original purchase receipt, installation documentation, as available. 10 YEAR LIMITED COMMERCIAL WARRANTY
This warranty is subject to the procedures, recommendations, limitations, disclaimers and exclusions mentioned herein and in the general information, installation and warranty sections of this document.
AQUALOC products carry a limited residential and commercial warranty, when installed in a residential situation* (SEE NOTE AT BOTTOM OF WARRANTY), against manufacturer and workmanship defects when used under normal conditions and installed in accordance with Manufacturer’s installation instructions to the original purchaser owner of the home, as long as they continually own the home for the period of the warranty. Consult your original packaging for the warranty time specific to the product you have purchased, including your original receipt of purchase and extra board. This warranty is not transferrable. The manufacturer’s warranty and liability does not extend beyond the flooring planks or tiles and is limited to a maximum value of the original purchase price. Warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the planks or tiles at the sole option of the manufacturer. The warranty does not include labour and installation costs nor any secondary costs. Claim compensation (if approved and/or authorized) is limited to the specific area which is deemed to be valid under the claim.
This warranty does not cover and specifically excludes such damages as: indentations, scratches, dents, chips, pet damages and stains caused by normal wear and tear, sheen loss in high traffic areas, erosion from pebbles, stones, sand, all other abrasives, steam mopping, inadequate protection, insects, rot, mould, mildew, bacteria, lack of maintenance, weather conditions, fire, water, high moisture, excessive cold, natural disasters, excessive heat, heating and air conditioning systems, accident, improper installation or handling, cleaning agents, negligence or other causes not attributed to manufacturing or workmanship defects. Failure to adhere to and follow all the instructions for installation and maintenance and incorrect or insufficient maintenance. Any modification to the product other than as outlined in the manufacturer’s installation instructions will render the warranty null and void.
This warranty excludes noises of all types (creaks, squeaks etc.) emanating from the floor and/or subfloor.
This warranty excludes floors which have been installed in areas without adequate temperature control and/or when temperature has not been continuously maintained within required temperature level throughout the entire year as required herein.
This warranty excludes changes to gloss levels.
This warranty excludes claims due to differences in the color and texture from display models and literature, as well as differences in color and texture from board to board.
The warranty excludes claims due to lightening or darkening of the product from exposure to light, or to areas which have not darkened due to less exposure to light than surrounding areas.
This warranty explicitly excludes products sold “as is”. The original purchaser is responsible for correct installation, maintenance and cleaning of the flooring in accordance with the included instructions.
This warranty specifically excludes damages to floors caused by heating systems: heating ducts, heat sources and heating system components of all types.
This warranty specifically excludes color variances from one production run to another. Prior to installation, verify the colors are an acceptable match. Color racking and working from a number of boxes ensures even distribution.
In the case of claims for commercial installations, please note the following should your floor carry a limited commercial warranty. If applicable, the limited commercial warranty is only applicable to “light commercial” use and applications, which are defined as follows: low traffic areas in commercial offices, showrooms and retail spaces.
